        Greene Andrea 05/07/2020 Tampa

We hired their movers to help us move from our townhouse in Tampa to our new house in San Francisco. We arranged everything over the phone and email. They put everything in writing without any fine print or confusing details. Movers were very professional and moved everything smoothly for us in just 10 days. I highly recommend them and would definitely hire them again.

Dorthe Hemmingsen 05/07/2020 East coast to West Coast Move

Used these guys for my move literally across the country to Albany, New York. The people I spoke to over the phone were very patient and friendly with me.The quote was competitive and they took time to break down the pricing and how they factor it too. The moving team that came were on time and took very good care our things. All the way from the west coast to the east coast without any hiccups. You guys did a stellar job and I really felt compelled to give them a proper thanks here for their hard work and dedication to our move. Would absolutely recommend them those moving out of state.

        Richard Jack 05/07/2020 Office Move

It was great doing business with LDM. Movers did an amazing job helping us move out of our office and into a new building a city away. We had to downsize things due the Covid-19 pandemic and get a smaller space. Thankfully these guys were still able to honor our move. Moving to me is a very essential service. Their team packed all of our electric equipment with care, all in one day. The move took place the following day. When they arrived at the new location we were really surprised what they did next. Instead of jus placing thing in the rooms we wanted. They took it step further and helped us organize our new space. They rotated furniture, put computers and printers on desks and took care of some trash for us as well. Such a great ending to the move.

Give Our Long-Distance Movers a Chance to Show Off Their Packing Skills

One of the free services our moving company in Brooklyn offers as part of the standard relocation package is disassembling, packing, loading, unloading, and assembling furniture. Aside from that, they’ll handle appliances.

Besides these standard packaging options, you can choose among additional packing services that can make your life and relocation much easier. They are full and partial service options at an additional but reasonable price. Our customer support will inform you of the details when you contact us.

Need Car Shipping? Our Long-Distance Moving Company Will Make It Happen

When it comes to making relocation an easy and stress-free experience for our customers, we are on par with top Brooklyn moving companies. However, the difference is that, besides handling your furniture and taking care of other things, we also provide a car shipping service.

Before you figure out how to move around NYC in the fastest time possible, you could simply drive around the town and get to know your new home. It’s better to do so in your car, which is why you can trust us to transport and deliver your vehicle there.

You can get a quote for car shipping, too, and the cost will depend on many factors, such as the transport and delivery options you choose, car volume, weight, make, and model. Call our customer support and hear all about those factors and the options you can choose from to have your vehicle safely delivered.

Car Pickup and Delivery Service Are at Your Disposal With Our Movers

With our long-distance moving services, you can choose where we pick up and deliver your car. If you choose the door-to-door pickup and delivery, our truck will access your driveway or street and load and unload your car right there. If these locations aren’t accessible by truck, we’ll work with you to find the nearest convenient location.

Another option is to choose terminal-to-terminal pickup and delivery. We have terminals in every major city we cover, and the exchange would happen at terminals at the original location and the destination. We have terminals in NYC, so you can start your Brooklynite life by driving home.

Transporting Your Vehicle Is Possible With Open and Enclosed Trailers

Besides the pick-up and delivery, you’ll also get transportation choices. Our relocation team can transport your car in one of two types of trailers – open or enclosed. Open trailers are secure and affordable car shipping options, but if the weather conditions aren’t optimal, your vehicle could be exposed to rain, snow, or any other element.

Enclosed trailers don’t run the risk of your car getting caught up in the weather since they’re fully closed and protective. Of course, what you choose depends on your budget and preferences since both options are secure forms of transportation. Give us a call to learn more about the differences between these two.

Storage Is a Great Safety Net, and With Us, It's Free for a Month

Insure Your Move With Our Relocation Insurance Policies

Relocation insurance is an integral part of our cross-country moving services. When customers search for moving companies to Brooklyn and find us, we like to ensure that there’s something to make us stand out. We believe that mandatory liability coverage is one of the most convenient and valuable parts of relocating with us.

Our mandatory insurance policy is 60 cents per pound of damaged goods, and it applies to all items. This means that, even if you pack some things yourself, you can still get compensation for them in case of damage.

If you have things for which our mandatory liability coverage doesn’t feel like it’s enough, you can add a bit to the costs and opt for Full Value Replacement Insurance. The FVRI policy reimburses customers for the total value of damaged items, but it comes with a condition. The things you can insure with this option are only those packed by our relocation team.

Brooklyn - New York's Gem That Keeps Reinventing Itself

Brooklyn is one of the five boroughs of New York City. It’s the most populated area out of the five and one that’s gone through the most significant transformation. It became home to many immigrants and locals during its 2010s revival, making it an area with a diverse population and many opportunities to start businesses and buy homes.

Young professionals have been flocking to NYC’s largest borough since the revival started happening, which has led to the real estate prices fluctuating over the years. However, Brooklyn is currently one of the most desirable areas to build a life and career in, so it’s no surprise that you’re considering doing the same.

More interesting facts about the biggest borough in NYC are:

        • It has around 2.7 million residents, and if it were a city, it’d be as big as Chicago or Houston,
        • Some of the most famous landmarks are row houses or brownstones from the 19th century, located in Greenpoint Historic District,
        • When it comes to brownstones, the most popular one in Brooklyn Heights isn’t actually a brownstone at all – it’s a facade covering a hidden emergency exit,
        • It’s connected to Manhattan through the Brooklyn Bridge, which was built in 1883,
        • It was an independent city until January 1898,
        • Its name was derived from the Dutch original name Breuckelen,
        • The Teddy Bear and the hot dog were invented in this borough,
        • Many notable people are Brooklynites, including Larry David, Spike Lee, Barbra Streisand, and Michael Jordan.

How Much Does It Cost to Live in Brooklyn?

Before you call a Brooklyn moving company to help you relocate to New York, it’d be wise to learn more about the real estate in the area and find the most suitable neighborhood. Each has different realty prices and amenities, so you should look for suitable areas for your budget and needs.

According to Numbeo, Brooklynites pay between $1,800 and $2,700 monthly on average for one-bedroom apartments. You may get better chances by finding a roommate or sharing an apartment with someone – if you’re relocating alone.

If you wish to move with family, a partner, or just want more room for yourself, expect to pay a monthly rent between $2,900 and $4,700 for a three-bedroom apartment. The range of prices is significant, but it’s essential to look for realties on various websites and find the best deal.

        Brooklyn's Highest Rated Neighborhoods

Brooklynites have many opinions when choosing the best neighborhood for themselves. Everyone praises their area, but we’ve found the highest-ranked communities based on the data from Niche. They are:

        • Prospect Heights – voted as Brooklyn’s best neighborhood to live in overall. It’s considered very safe and a great place to spend time outdoors.
        • Brooklyn Heights – this neighborhood is quiet and has a small-town feel. It’s mostly low-rise buildings and has many locally-owned businesses nearby.
        • Park Slope – a great place for families and people who enjoy calming activities. It’s filled with cafes, markets, bike shops, and parks.
        • Carroll Gardens – people who live here get to taste cuisine from all over the world, boast the historical significance of the neighborhood, and lead safe lifestyles.
        • Downtown – move here if you want to experience the Manhattan lifestyle without the crowds; there are great restaurants around every corner.
