On the other side, the lowest ever recorded temperature was measured in February 1951, when it went down to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. When it comes to New Mexico’s flora, Creosote bushes, mesquite, cacti and yucca are common. Some desert grasses that grow in New Mexico are black grama, tobosa and burrograss.
